Wise Wednesday - Irritation

There is hope in being irritated with someone because that irritation will lead us to understand an aspect of ourselves. It seems like difficult news to swallow, but with hope, a little bit of understanding can go a long way.
I hope for a world where we can be aware of ourselves without needing the irritation. Until then, though, it's good to keep hope about during times of annoyance.

That was one of the most valuable tools I got out of my therapy sessions a few years ago. Recognize the irritation, step away, look at yourself, and then evaluate.
It's a good reminder, because there are days it's a constant battle to remember.
